S B24-9

eBay described as MVLH and also as XF but I disagree from the image as displayed.  Also said to be expertised by H Bloch.  Opened at $450 and closed with no bids.  Scott values at $432 in 2000 and 2001 (June 00).

It is interesting to note that these very valuable stamps were on sale for one day only (19 Aug 1922) and were sold for five million times the face value!  This was more because of inflation than because of their semi-postal nature; however, even so, a massive 80% of the sale proceeds went to child welfare.

A mixed set, B24 mint, B25-28 used tied to pieces, and B29 mint opened for $200 and closed with no bids.  Scott values at $432 (June 00).

A set of blocks of four, all MNH, opened for $2445 and closed with no bids.  This is the equivalent of $611.25 per set (Nov 00).

MLH, with expertizing marks, opened for $450 and closed with no bids (Nov 00).

A set, used, four of which were tied on pieces (illustrated), opened for $275 and closed with no bids.  Scott values at $475 and some premium may be applicable for the stamps tied to pieces (Aug 01).

A set, MH, opened for $275 and two bidders took up to $306 (Aug 01).

S B28 var SG277 var M1899k eBay described as "1923 Childrens Charity 10r+40r F.M. variety ovpt. reading from bottom to top Mi. 189k cat. 1,000 DM, expertised Pohl, see photo for slightly irregular perfs. at foot.".  Opened at $102 and closed with no bids.  Scott says that these inverted overprints exist, but does not value, and the regular stamp is valued at $15.  SG also refers to them but doesn't price, and Michel values in my catalog at DM1500!!!  (June 00)
S B29 Described as MNH OG and signed by several experts and with a Mikulski certificate.  Opened for $650 and closed with no bids.  Scott values each stamp (MH) at $175 and a pair for $350.  (Nov 00)
